Hospitality and Catering (Hospitality Services) Intermediate Apprenticeships are intended for people working in multi-skilled roles across all areas of the hospitality and catering industry. The programme includes on and off the job training towards level 2 nationally recognised qualifications in Hospitality and Catering.
Hospitality and Catering (Hospitality Services) Intermediate Apprenticeships are suitable for individuals, whose role involves carrying out a broad range of hospitality and catering activities, requiring a limited amount of supervision and working with some autonomy.
Activities include
front office
housekeeping
food and drink service
food processing
food preparation and cooking
Intermediate Apprenticeships help develop well-trained and motivated individuals who can assist to improve company performance.
Progression into the Hospitality and Catering (Hospitality Services) Intermediate Apprenticeship
employment and/or work experience within the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism or retails industries
undertaken training (accredited or non-accredited)
undertaken learning in the Foundation Learning Curriculum
undertaken a Young Apprenticeship programme in hospitality
achieved (14 – 19) Diploma in hospitality
achieved vocational or academic qualification(s)
Progression from the Hospitality and Catering (Hospitality Services) Intermediate Apprenticeship
Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Management
Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Business and Administration or Customer Service
Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality and Catering (Hospitality Supervision and Leadership)
Further Education to undertake management, business related or other more highly skilled qualifications
