Warehousing and Storage Intermediate Apprenticeships are intended for people working as warehouse operatives with companies of various sizes working alone or in a team. The programme includes on and off the job training towards level 2 nationally recognised qualifications in Warehousing and Storage.
Warehousing and Storage Intermediate Apprenticeships are suitable for individuals, whose role involves carrying out a broad range of warehousing and storage activities, requiring a limited amount of supervision and working with some autonomy.
Activities include
- Maintaining Health, safety and security in the workplace
- Storing stock
- Dispatching stock
- Manual handling stock
- Working with others in the team
Intermediate Apprenticeships help develop well-trained and motivated individuals who can assist to improve company performance.
Progression into the Warehousing and Storage Intermediate Apprenticeship
- employment and/or work experience within the logistics industry
- undertaken training (accredited or non-accredited)
- undertaken learning in the Foundation Learning Curriculum
- undertaken a Young Apprenticeship programme
- achieved any of the (14 – 19) Diplomas including Retail Business which has logistics content
- achieved vocational or academic qualification(s)
Progression from the Warehousing and Storage Intermediate Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Team Leading
- Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Logistics Operations
- Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Management
